2.2.1 Armitage

Armitage is basically a GUI wrapper for Metasploit. We used Armitage to attack the target machines as well as each group's login server. We only got a successful attack for target #2. To do the attacks, we first added the login servers to the host list, then also the target machines. Then, we ran a hail mary attack on all of the machines. This did not work at first. We were able to get this to work eventually by doing attacks individually. One issue we had with armitage is that it sometimes tries to select an invalid payload for an attack. This causes the attack to fail and give an error stating that a payload has not been selected. The solution to this was to just run the metasploit commands manually and select a payload that was valid. So, after using armitage for a while, it seems that just using metasploit would be more effective.
